Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, mark strike! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! strike changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lesnar tries to avoid it but strike manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lesnar to the ground. Lesnar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lesnar closes the distance and clinches. strike breaks from the clinch.
Lesnar tries to clinch there but strike circles away.
strike misses with a few strikes there.
strike pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Lesnar. No joy for strike on that attempt. Lesnar tries to clinch up but strike circles away and keeps his distance. strike lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lesnar circles away quickly and effectively. strike tries a head kick but it misses.
Lesnar tries to clinch but strike moves out of range. strike tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lesnar was well out of range. Poor timing from strike. strike takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. strike is breathing heavily. Lesnar drops strike with a beautiful combination! strike stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lesnar is looking for the KO!

It looks like mark strike has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! strike gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lesnar to score an easy takedown into full guard. Oh strike is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Lesnar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. strike is keeping the position for now. strike seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. strike is looking to stand up but Lesnar isn't so interested in that idea. strike thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. strike keeping moving, preventing Lesnar from controlling successfully. strike doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Lesnar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. strike has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. strike keeping full guard, as Lesnar tries to pass.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. strike misses with a body shot.
strike scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lesnar staying out of range there. strike with a poor takedown and Lesnar counters with a solid body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for mark strike. That's going to take a lot out of him. strike swats away the attempt to clinch by Lesnar. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for strike. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
That's two minutes gone in the round. strike gets caught flat footed, as Lesnar shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. strike working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lesnar. Lesnar looking to pass the guard. Lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with strike. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lesnar showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Lesnar got a little sloppy there for a moment and strike has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lesnar has managed to get both his arms back between strike's legs - danger averted. Lesnar wants to control from the top but strike keeps moving. strike manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. strike with a couple of short strikes. strike scoring with strikes but Lesnar is staying in there. Lesnar is looking to get to half guard. Lesnar throwing hammer fists to the chest of strike. What's that going to do exactly? strike lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
strike with the ground and pound from mount. strike breaks from Lesnar's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. strike lands a big elbow. Lesnar takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. strike fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lesnar taking shots to the head. Lesnar is trying desperately to improve position. Lesnar is bucking up trying to escape but strike cracks him with another couple of good strikes. strike raining down shots from the mount! Lesnar's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lesnar is trying desperately to improve position. strike working the ground and pound effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lesnar dominated that round. The cut man is working on mark strike's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
strike lands a nice looking kick to the body. Lesnar takes a step back to recover. strike scores with a kick to the body.
strike throws a left and a right that both miss
so Lesnar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. strike pushes Lesnar off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. strike moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! strike has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. strike fails to land with a series of punches.
strike defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lesnar. strike misses the shot to the body. Lesnar walks forward, straight into a front kick from strike. strike misses with a combination
and Lesnar counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for strike! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. strike regains half guard. strike makes his way to full guard. A much better position for strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar won't allow strike to sweep him here. strike wriggles free and stands up. strike looks for the body kick but Lesnar saw that one coming. mark strike is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. strike throws a shot from downtown. Lesnar moves away and avoids it. A head kick misses from Lesnar. strike throws a lazy right hand but Lesnar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. strike misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lesnar lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Lesnar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
strike throws a sloppy head kick and Lesnar moves out of range easily. strike lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lesnar backs up against the cage.
Lesnar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. strike tries to improve position but can't. Lesnar stands up and beckons strike to his feet. Lesnar stuffs the takedown attempt from strike. strike gets slowly back to his feet. Lesnar scores a takedown into full mount! strike sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. strike wants to get back to full guard. strike pushes Lesnar off looking to stand but Lesnar dives back in and keeps control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on strike, up you get! Lesnar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. strike flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lesnar prevents strike from improving his position. Lesnar is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, strike has managed to free his arm - good work. strike looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. strike is refusing to be controlled, as Lesnar sits in half guard. Brock Lesnar has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar blocks the strikes from strike.
strike has one foot on Lesnar's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. strike moves into range and connects with a jab. strike stuffs the takedown attempt from Lesnar. Lesnar gets slowly back to his feet. Lesnar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from strike. strike throws a head kick that misses and Lesnar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. strike uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lesnar is looking to slow strike down with leg kicks. strike with a lazy takedown attempt and Lesnar counters with a single leg into guard. strike didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for mark strike. That's going to take a lot out of him. strike working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lesnar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lesnar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brock Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on mark strike's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Lesnar is pushing down on strike's leg trying to pass to half guard. strike is fighting to maintain full guard but Lesnar has managed to sneak the leg through. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

strike is not content to let Lesnar control the position. strike pushes Lesnar off and gets back to his feet. mark strike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lesnar scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. strike lands a glancing blow to the side of Lesnar's head. strike falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lesnar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. strike is looking for a sweep. Lesnar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. strike manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Lesnar looking to pass the guard. Lesnar trying to control but strike is working from the bottom. strike manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The referee warns Lesnar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. strike working away from the top, dropping strikes. You get the feeling that Lesnar really doesn't like being in this position too much.
strike lands a nice shot to the head. strike lands a heavy elbow. Lesnar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. strike lands a heavy elbow. mark strike has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, strike cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Lesnar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lesnar tries to hold on but strike pushes him away. Lesnar really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. strike is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lesnar can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Lesnar is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Lesnar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lesnar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lesnar is in a horrible position here. strike smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Lesnar is desperately trying to improve his position but strike has a good base and remains in mount. Lesnar in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Brock Lesnar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lesnar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. strike lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
And that's the end of the fight! Brock Lesnar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lesnar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
