Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arek Szleszynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Szleszynski kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Disturbed - Voices. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Szleszynski tries to close the distance and clinch but Adams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Adams closes the distance looking to clinch and Szleszynski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Szleszynski gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Adams.
A short right from Szleszynski on the inside. Szleszynski lands a good knee to the midsection. Adams won't want to take too many of those. A looping hook to the body misses from Szleszynski. Adams does a little dance to reset his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Szleszynski counters by moving into the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Szleszynski as Adams tries to tie him up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Adams is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Szleszynski won't allow Adams to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Szleszynski tries to work over Adams's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Adams ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Adams no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Adams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Szleszynski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Adams is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Adams working for a triangle but Szleszynski defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Adams keeps control of the position for the meantime. Adams is trying to get back to full guard. Szleszynski thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adams looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Szleszynski! Adams looking to ground and pound but Szleszynski is blocking nicely. Szleszynski takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Adams throws some wild stikes that Szleszynski manages to avoid easily.
Adams moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Szleszynski has worked his arm free - good work by Szleszynski!

That's one minute gone in the round. Adams goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Szleszynski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Adams but great work by Szleszynski. Adams is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Adams takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Adams is looking to reverse the position. Adams is not content to let Szleszynski control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Adams tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Szleszynski presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Adams can do anything to dispel that myth. Szleszynski is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Adams can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Adams is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Szleszynski tries to control but Adams wriggling away. Szleszynski throwing strikes here but Adams is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Adams is trying to reverse the position but instead Szleszynski has taken his back - oops! Adams trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Szleszynski controlling well, preventing Adams from escaping the position.
Adams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Szleszynski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Szleszynski is not going to allow Adams to sit and survive in this position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Adams tries to break free.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Adams is taking damage to the body and head. Tim Adams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Adams manages to escape to his feet.
