The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Dent. That's going to slow Valendretti down.
Valendretti shoots for a takedown but Dent saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Valendretti shoots for a double leg takedown but Dent sprawls well. He's pushed Valendretti's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dent scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Valendretti looks gassed!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Dent throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Valendretti is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
