The crowd seem to be enjoying Kennedy's choice of entrance music: H-U-S-T-L-E by Murs. Vance Kennedy has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tiger Woodz's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vance Kennedy!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Kennedy with that takedown attempt.

Kennedy closes the distance and clinches.
Woodz tries for a takedown but Kennedy manages to get underhooks.

Woodz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Kennedy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Woodz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kennedy, into his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A telegraphed right hand from Woodz misses the target.
Woodz shoots in and drives through. Kennedy sprawls well.
Kennedy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Woodz manages to avoid it.
Woodz dives in and grabs Kennedy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kennedy pushes down on Woodz's head and hops out.

so Woodz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Woodz is breathing heavily.

Woodz is really struggling to control Kennedy but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Kennedy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

and Kennedy counters with a takedown into side control.
Kennedy scores with a couple of short elbows.

Woodz is trying to control Kennedy's posture but Kennedy avoids it.
Kennedy looks up at the clock and then as Woodz takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kennedy smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kennedy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Woodz, who protects the arm well.
Woodz prevents Kennedy from improving position.
Kennedy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Woodz to see if he's OK.
Woodz tries to bench press Kennedy off him but Kennedy keeps the position.
Kennedy moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Woodz looks to move to half guard but instead Kennedy has passed into mount! Damn!
Woodz is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tiger Woodz dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Vance Kennedy's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kennedy lands a jab to the head.
Woodz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kennedy throws a body punch but Woodz moves out of range.
Woodz showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kennedy.
Kennedy shoots for a takedown but Woodz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Woodz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kennedy defends it nicely.
Kennedy avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
