The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Silva throws a nice outside leg kick.
Silva lands a jab-cross combination.
Abbott connects with a good right hand that stumbles Silva. Silva circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Abbott moves out of range easily.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abbott.

Silva throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Frank Abbott has been cut.
Abbott keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Abbott counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Abbott is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Abbott avoids the head kick by Silva.
Abbott fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Abbott slips a straight right by Silva.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Abbott throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily.

enabling Abbott to counter with a crisp jab.

Abbott throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Abbott connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Silva throws a head kick but Abbott moves out of range.
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.

Abbott tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.

Abbott chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Silva can pounce on him.

Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva throws a head kick that Abbott semi-blocks.
Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Abbott to score with a decent uppercut.

enabling Abbott to counter with a crisp jab.
Abbott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silva throws out the jab.
Davi Silva seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Abbott thuds his right hand into Silva's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
