Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Cabbage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bruce Roy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ted Cabbage! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabbage tries to clinch there but Roy circles away.
Roy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cabbage's half guard. Roy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Roy seems to be working for a kimura but Cabbage defends the submission attempt. Roy stops Cabbage from getting back to his feet.
Cabbage wants to control but Roy is keeping busy and won't allow it. Cabbage is looking to improve his position.
Cabbage is trying to stand up here but Roy is controlling him well. Roy wants to free his trapped foot but Cabbage is holding on for dear life with his legs. Roy seems to be working for a kimura but Cabbage defends the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cabbage misses with a takedown and Roy moves into the clinch. Roy jumps into guard, dragging Cabbage to the mat.
Cabbage throws and elbow that misses. Roy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cabbage's guard. Nice move by Roy! Roy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cabbage has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roy has managed to get both his arms back between Cabbage's legs - danger averted. Cabbage looks gassed! Roy gets to his feet - Cabbage follows without any prompting. Cabbage doesn't succeed with the takedown and Roy counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Roy. Roy stands up and waves to Cabbage to follow him. A chopping leg kick lands by Roy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roy drives through and clinches with Cabbage against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roy slows down the pace here.
Cabbage tries to land knees in the clinch but Roy avoids the damage to the body. Roy manages to pull guard.
Roy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cabbage stands up from guard. Let's bang! Roy shoots in but Cabbage avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cabbage fails with the takedown and Roy counters with a stiff right hand. Bruce Roy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Cabbage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabbage gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Roy counters with a solid body kick. Cabbage gets caught flat footed, as Roy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Roy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cabbage swivels though and keeps the full guard. Roy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Roy trying to control but Cabbage is working from the bottom. Roy looking to sit in guard and control but Cabbage gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Roy is striking but Cabbage is not phased and passes to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roy scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Cabbage manages to mount him!
Cabbage is landing with some decent strikes but Roy is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cabbage wants to control the pace but Roy is squirming around nicely. Roy is trying desperately to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Roy dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Cabbage tries for a takedown but Roy circles away easily and Roy counters by clinching up. Cabbage breaks the clinch.
Roy throws a one two combo.
Roy throws a right and a left that both miss. Cabbage doesn't manage to clinch there - Roy circles away.
Cabbage tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Roy swivels and escapes. Cabbage throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roy's waist but Roy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cabbage off to one side. Bruce Roy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Cabbage. Roy rushes Cabbage and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Roy landing knees to the body.
Roy decides to pull guard. Cabbage is fighting to break Roy's control of his arms but Roy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Roy has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cabbage off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Bruce Roy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cabbage is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Cabbage is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage. Cabbage seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. Roy manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Roy wants a takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Roy has had enough of the clinch but Cabbage keeps him there for the moment. Cabbage fails to pull guard.

Cabbage wants to stall.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ted Cabbage. Roy shoots in and drives through. Cabbage sprawls well. Cabbage with a lazy takedown attempt so Roy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Roy trying to control but Cabbage is working from the bottom. Roy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cabbage's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roy passes into half guard. Roy tries to pass to full mount but Cabbage defends it. Roy stops Cabbage from getting back to his feet.
Roy is looking for a kimura here.
Cabbage tries to kick Roy off in order to stand up. Roy Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Roy working the ground and pound. Cabbage is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Roy is controlling him well. You can see the frustration on Cabbage's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cabbage tries for a takedown but Roy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Cabbage has Roy up against the cage in a clinch.
Roy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cabbage gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Cabbage landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Cabbage creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Roy's defenses. Roy takes an elbow to the temple. Roy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cabbage smiles and moves away.
Roy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Roy dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Roy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cabbage defends it nicely. Cabbage has managed to clinch.
Cabbage is trying to maintain a safe position but Roy gets an underhook and turns Cabbage into the cage. Cabbage on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Cabbage decides to pull guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roy stops Cabbage from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roy looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabbage is trying to keep Roy in close.
Cabbage wants to stand and escape but Roy is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Roy clinches up with Cabbage and pushes him back against the cage. Roy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Roy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Roy moves in looking to clinch but Cabbage pushes him off.

Cabbage moves in looking to clinch but Roy pushes him off. Cabbage tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cabbage tries to clinch but Roy moves out of range. Cabbage tries to clinch up. Cabbage misses with a takedown and Roy moves into the clinch. Roy pulls guard successfully.
Roy throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Roy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cabbage stacks Roy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cabbage!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabbage decides to take the fight back to the feet. Cabbage shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cabbage showed some decent athleticism there. Cabbage works his foot free and advances to mount. Roy avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cabbage.
Bruce Roy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cabbage is standing up, even though he is in mount. Roy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cabbage paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cabbage misses with a takedown attempt and Roy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Cabbage's knee momentarily. Bruce Roy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Cabbage. Cabbage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cabbage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ted Cabbage has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cabbage throws a nice outside leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Ted Cabbage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Roy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
