Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between killa joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Sharkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, killa joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Sharkey!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharkey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
joe with a poor takedown

and Sharkey counters with a shoot takedown. joe fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sharkey content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Sharkey preventing the sweep.
Sharkey wants to control from the top but joe keeps moving.
Sharkey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
joe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
joe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sharkey on the ground.
joe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sharkey is one step ahead there.
Sharkey working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

joe is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Sharkey is trying to break the clinch but joe has him pressed against the cage.
The referee calls for Sharkey to work.
Sharkey jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as joe walks away with a smile on his face. Sharkey gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sharkey closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like killa joe has been cut.

Sharkey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. joe sprawls well initially but Sharkey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sharkey controlling the pace.
joe tries to get to full guard but Sharkey has control of the leg.
Sharkey trying to control from half guard but joe is working away.

Sharkey decides to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sharkey throws a head kick that misses.

joe gets a clinch.

Sharkey gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, joe regains guard.
joe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

joe looking for subs off his back but Sharkey has passed one foot through into half guard.
joe is breathing heavily.
Sharkey passes to full mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
joe is in all sorts of trouble here.
joe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if joe tries to get out of the position.

A nice elbow there by Sharkey.
Sharkey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
joe is trying desperately to improve position.
joe is in a horrible position here. Sharkey smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sharkey fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Sharkey is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Sharkey clinches but joe breaks the clinch
and joe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Sharkey scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

joe actively working from the bottom here.
Sharkey frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Sharkey dominated that round.
The cut man is working on killa joe's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


joe blocks a head kick by Sharkey.
No luck with that takedown attempt from joe.
joe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sharkey as he jumps to the side.
joe has his takedown stuffed

and Sharkey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sharkey.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for killa joe. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sharkey stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Sharkey shoots in for a double leg but joe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sharkey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sharkey lands in his opponent's guard.

joe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sharkey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Paul Sharkey has got the better of the ground game so far.

Sharkey stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
killa joe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
joe tries to clinch there but Sharkey circles away.
Sharkey misses with a takedown attempt - joe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sharkey is looking to clinch.

joe takes the fight into the clinch.
Sharkey pressing his opponent against the cage.
joe is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Sharkey is trying to break free.
Sharkey is looking to break free of the clinch but joe has double underhooks.
joe blocks a punch to the side of the head.
joe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sharkey smiles and moves away.
joe tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sharkey wants to clinch

and joe counters by moving into the clinch.
joe is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Sharkey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sharkey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sharkey looking to hit a scissor sweep but joe is one step ahead there.
Sharkey wants to stand but joe is controlling the position.
joe passes Sharkey's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
joe is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Sharkey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Sharkey dives in and grabs joe's left leg, looking for a takedown. joe pushes down on Sharkey's head and hops out.

Sharkey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
joe is looking to control Sharkey's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can joe avoid being mounted?
joe pushes Sharkey off looking to stand but Sharkey dives back in and keeps control.
It looks like Sharkey is going to stand back up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sharkey is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for joe!
joe has given up his back here.

Sharkey gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Sharkey controlling well, preventing joe from escaping the position.
joe looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
joe is trapped and Sharkey is scoring with shots to the head and body.
joe tries to roll but Sharkey sticks to his back.
Good control from Sharkey.
joe trying to control the hands but Sharkey won't let him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sharkey tries to keep control of the position but joe is staying busy.
joe trying to control the hands but Sharkey breaks the grip.
Sharkey controlling well, preventing joe from escaping the position.
Sharkey has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for joe.

Sharkey looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! joe taps!
