Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tank Thunderclap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wilcox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thunderclap comes to the cage accompanied by ThunderStruck. Mark Wilcox is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tank Thunderclap! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Wilcox! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilcox swats away the attempt to clinch by Thunderclap. Thunderclap is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wilcox's half guard. Wilcox is looking for a sweep. Thunderclap is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wilcox trying to control but Thunderclap postures up.
Thunderclap thows a huge punch but Wilcox dodges it nicely.
Thunderclap is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wilcox doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Thunderclap. Wilcox tries to roll over but Thunderclap keeps him under control. Wilcox moves into full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wilcox working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thunderclap doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thunderclap manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Thunderclap trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thunderclap passes into half guard. Wilcox is looking for a sweep. Thunderclap is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Thunderclap seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wilcox does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Thunderclap is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Thunderclap not landing any meaningful shots this time. Thunderclap looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wilcox with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Thunderclap seems to be looking for submissions.

Thunderclap is working for an americana but Wilcox has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Thunderclap was thinking about the submission. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilcox keeping moving, preventing Thunderclap from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilcox has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Wilcox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Thunderclap's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Wilcox keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. Wilcox throws his legs up looking for a submission but Thunderclap uses it to pass to side control.
Wilcox sneaks out the side door and pushes Thunderclap away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Tank Thunderclap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thunderclap thuds his right hand into Wilcox's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Thunderclap shoots in looking for a takedown. Wilcox tries to sprawl out of it but Thunderclap keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wilcox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wilcox drives through with a takedown into guard. Thunderclap is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wilcox thows a big elbow that misses. Thunderclap will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Thunderclap had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wilcox defends it easily. Wilcox trying to control the position from guard on top but Thunderclap is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilcox throws a sloppy strike and Thunderclap has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Wilcox is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Thunderclap!
