Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mateo Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Don (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sobral comes into the arena with Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Don's choice of entrance music: Iconoclast. Mateo Sobral could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to The Don's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mateo Sobral! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, The Don! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Don bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sobral's head. Sobral takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The fight stays on the outside here - Don looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sobral shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Don but Don pushes him off and we're back to square one. Don tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sobral paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sobral throws a wild body kick that Don sees coming a mile off. Don throws a head kick that misses. Don stalks Sobral and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sobral's face. Sobral staggers backwards, shaken. Sobral throws a left and a right that both miss
and Don counters with a straight right hand. Don on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sobral. Sobral obviously looking to wear him down.
Don dodges the punch combination from Sobral.
Good standup being displayed there by Don as he connects with a hook. Don loads up on a big right hand but Sobral slips the punch. Don uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sobral. Don works the jab nicely. Sobral forces Don back against the cage and clinches. Don has Sobral pressed against the cage, preventing Sobral from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Sobral jumps guard and drags Don to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Don throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sobral works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sobral has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Don should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sobral has tightened it up now! Don should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
