Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vonatletzin Askiban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skuomo Shiratori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skuomo Shiratori will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Skuomo Shiratori!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shiratori throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Askiban's waist but Askiban gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shiratori off to one side.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Askiban closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shiratori circles away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Vonatletzin Askiban just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Shiratori is trying hard to land a takedown here. Askiban sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Askiban prevents Shiratori from getting the reversal.

Askiban is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Shiratori is surviving well by controlling Askiban's body position as best he can.
Shiratori tries to lock up and control but Askiban gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Shiratori lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Skuomo Shiratori showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Shiratori throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Askiban.
Askiban dives in and grabs Shiratori's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shiratori pushes down on Askiban's head and hops out.
Shiratori's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Shiratori duly obliges.
Shiratori tries to close the distance and clinch up but Askiban swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shiratori avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Askiban shoots in looking for a takedown. Shiratori tries to sprawl out of it but Askiban keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shiratori manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Askiban is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Shiratori is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Askiban is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Shiratori knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Shiratori for a finish.
