Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Shelter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Shelter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Jones! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shelter gets a takedown into half guard. Shelter wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well. Jones wants to control but Shelter is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jones regains full guard. Nicely done. Jones seems keen to control Shelter's posture. Shelter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Shelter wants to stand but Jones is controlling his posture from full guard. Shelter trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shelter postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Jones controls Shelter momentarily but Shelter frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shelter lands a couple of digs. Shelter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Shelter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jones is trying to control the position but Shelter postures up. Shelter trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones controlling the position. Jones is trying to control the position but Shelter postures up. Shelter preventing the sweep. Shelter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jones misses with a takedown and Shelter counters with a left and a right that stings Jones. Shelter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shelter gets the takedown into side control. Shelter is breathing heavily. Shelter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Shelter throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Jones wants to control but Shelter postures up. Shelter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Shelter working away. Jones on the wrong end of some ground and pound. You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Shelter wants to stand but Jones has his arm trapped.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Shelter tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shelter napping and manages to drive through into side control! Shelter is looking for a sweep. Shelter wants to get back to his feet but Jones drags him back down. Shelter can't do much from the bottom here. Jones trying to control the position but Shelter is working away. Jones working away. Jones is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Shelter's shoulder. That is not cool. Jones trying to control the action but Shelter is working from the bottom. Shelter is trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones has his takedown stuffed and Shelter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. Shelter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jones perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jones trying to control the action but Shelter is working from the bottom. Shelter wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Jones prevents Shelter from standing back up.
Shelter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Shelter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nice sprawl there from Shelter as Jones shoots in. Shelter misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming. Shelter misses with a wild combination.
Jones misses with a takedown and Shelter counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Shelter wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones trying to control but Shelter postures up.
Shelter is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking to control Shelter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jones avoid being mounted? Shelter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Jones trying to hold on to Shelter's head to control him but Shelter postures up.
Shelter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jones defends it well. Jones works his way to full guard. Good work. Jones working a defensive guard here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Shelter throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shelter misses the shot to the body. Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shelter counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard. Anderson Shelter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Jones. Shelter working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head. Jones controls Shelter momentarily but Shelter frees himself. Shelter cracks Jones with a solid left hand. Jones controls Shelter momentarily but Shelter frees himself. Shelter stands up and waves to Jones to follow him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones blocks a head kick by Shelter.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shelter manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jones's best efforts. Jones wants to control but Shelter is keeping him busy.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jones blocks a jab. Shelter misses with a head kick.
Shelter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Shelter counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Shelter dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Shelter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shelter wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it. Shelter striking off his back but it's not causing Jones any problems. Jones passes Shelter's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jones content to control rather than advance. Shelter is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jones wants to take a breather but Shelter is having none of it. Shelter tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Shelter fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones. Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shelter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shelter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him. Shelter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well. Shelter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones trying to control but Shelter is working from the bottom. Jones wants to pass the guard but Shelter is keeping the position. Steve Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Anderson Shelter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Shelter rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage. Shelter is trying to trip Jones. He has hold of a leg but Jones is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Shelter persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Jones working a defensive guard here.
Jones has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Jones looking to control.

Shelter won't allow Jones to sweep him here. Shelter sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Steve Jones. Well Shelter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
