Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uriel Amok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amok comes to the ring accompanied by Devils. Belfort is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Du Hast. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uriel Amok!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bas Belfort!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amok looks for a takedown but Belfort sprawls well.
Amok throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Belfort throws a head kick but Amok moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Belfort.
Amok lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Amok is defended easily by Belfort.
Amok misses with a hook. Belfort ducked under it nicely.
Amok swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Belfort stalks Amok and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Amok's face. Amok staggers backwards, shaken.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Amok will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Amok throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Belfort's waist but Belfort gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Amok off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Amok lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Belfort covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
