Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Verno Ackhbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skyler Petersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ackhbar tries to clinch but Petersen is having none of it.
Petersen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Petersen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ackhbar darts in and clinches Petersen up against the ropes.
A bit of stalling here from Ackhbar.
Petersen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ackhbar gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Ackhbar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ackhbar fails in his attempt to clinch.
No joy there for Petersen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ackhbar rushes Petersen and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Ackhbar breaks from the clinch.
Petersen fails to land with a series of punches.
Petersen lands with an overhand left.
Ackhbar is looking to clinch.
Petersen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Verno Ackhbar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petersen misses with a wild combination.
Petersen falls off balance throwing a combination

and Ackhbar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ackhbar.

Ackhbar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Petersen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Petersen.

Ackhbar has taken the fight to the clinch.

Ackhbar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Petersen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ackhbar counters with a stiff right hand.
Petersen looks gassed!
Petersen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Ackhbar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ackhbar.
Ackhbar lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Petersen backwards.

Petersen is rocked!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ackhbar takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Petersen is still on wobbly legs! Can Ackhbar finish him?
Ackhbar creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Petersen with a big uppercut! Petersen tries to clinch up but Ackhbar pushes him back against the ropes and lands another moster strike that crumples Petersen to the mat! Petersen covers up and Ackhbar unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
