Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Montenegro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and georges Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rush is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gsp´s Entrance. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush pushes Montenegro up against the cage in a clinch.
Montenegro is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Montenegro looking for a takedown.
Montenegro dodges an elbow strike from Rush.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

A frustrated look appears on Rush's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Montenegro cracks Rush with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Rush stalks Montenegro and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Montenegro's face. Montenegro staggers backwards, shaken.

letting Rush counter with a right hand.
Rush fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Montenegro, pushing him back against the cage.
Montenegro tries to stall but Rush uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Rush breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rush closes the distance and clinches.
Rush is looking to break free of the clinch but Montenegro has double underhooks.
Rush wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Montenegro has him pressed against the cage.

BOOM! Rush connects with a massive shot to the dome!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rush prevents Montenegro from getting the reversal.
Rush can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Montenegro is looking to escape.
Rush pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rush is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Montenegro's half guard.
Montenegro pushes Rush off looking to stand but Rush dives back in and keeps control.

Montenegro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rush walks away with a smile on his face. Montenegro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Montenegro counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Rush is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Rush throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Montenegro's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Montenegro duly obliges.
Montenegro clinches but Rush breaks the clinch
and Rush counters with a nice double leg into side control. Montenegro won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rush wants to take a breather but Montenegro manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Rush.
Rush has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd cheers as Rush lands an impressive looking overhand right. Montenegro doesn't seem phased though.

Rush tries to score a power double leg takedown but Montenegro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rush somewhat.
Montenegro lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Montenegro.

Rush wants to stand up but Montenegro is controlling him.

Rush thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Rush will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
georges Rush is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Rush looks to land a combination. Montenegro sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Rush stands up.
Rush closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

georges Rush comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rush has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
