Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lazaros Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickson Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones sizes up Gracie with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jones!
Gracie fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones is out of range.
Gracie misses with a kick to the body.
Lazaros Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie takes a kick to the side of the head.
Left hook, right uppercut from Jones.
Gracie chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.

Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gracie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Gracie shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gracie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Gracie moves into range and clinches up with Jones.

Gracie has hold of one of Jones's legs. Jones is fighting the takedown attempt but Gracie gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Jones has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.
Gracie slips nicely into half guard.
Jones wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.

Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.

Gracie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Gracie throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Gracie wants to get back to his feet but Jones is holding on tight.

That was a close round but I would say that Lazaros Jones will probably get the nod.

Gracie throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.

Jones buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jones lands with a slapping head kick.
Gracie is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones.

and Gracie counters with a stiff right hand.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.

Gracie takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
