PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Burdon Ambler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Burdon Ambler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ambler moves out of range of the strikes.
Ambler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taylor's waist but Taylor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ambler off to one side.
Ambler looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Shane Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ambler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ambler ducks under a wild hook from Taylor.
Taylor throws a body punch but Ambler moves out of range.
Ambler misses with a wild combination.
Ambler blocks a jab.
Taylor misses with a hook. Ambler ducked under it nicely.
Taylor throws a one two combo.

It looks like Burdon Ambler has been cut.
Taylor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ambler was well out of range. Poor timing from Taylor.

Taylor drops Ambler with a right and a left! Taylor comes rushing in but Ambler regains his composure and manages to keep Taylor in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Taylor is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Taylor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Ambler controls Taylor momentarily but Taylor frees himself.

Taylor passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Ambler is trying to improve his position.
Ambler is trying to escape the position but Taylor is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ambler stops Taylor from passing to mount.
Taylor slows the pace down.
Ambler is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Taylor is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Taylor stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Taylor throws a hook but Ambler blocks it.
Taylor moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Taylor misses the shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Ambler misses the target.
Ambler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Taylor with a nice cross.
Taylor thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ambler slips a jab from Taylor.
Taylor throws a shot from downtown. Ambler moves away and avoids it.
Ambler takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Ambler is rocked!

Burdon Ambler's cut is getting worse.
Taylor loads up on a big right hand but Ambler slips the punch.
Oh Ambler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ambler bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Taylor comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Ambler falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Ambler was out before he hit the floor!
