Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Damon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damon comes to the cage accompanied by Granite By Pendulum. Chris Davis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Damon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Davis! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Davis drives through and clinches with Damon against the cage.
Damon manages to break the clinch.
Damon shoots in looking for a takedown. Davis tries to sprawl out of it but Damon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Davis tries to clinch but Damon is having none of it. Damon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davis as he avoids it easily. Davis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Damon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Davis tries to bum rush Damon with a series of wild strikes but Damon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Davis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Damon gets to his feet - Davis follows without any prompting. A nice leg kick lands there from Damon. Horrible takedown by Davis or perhaps it was just good defense by Damon which made him look bad. Damon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Davis counters with a stiff right hand. Davis looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis misses with the combination.
Damon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Davis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Davis. Davis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Damon pulls Davis into guard.
Damon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Davis tries to stand but Damon is controlling from the bottom. Damon is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.
Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Damon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Davis lands a couple of digs. Davis wanted to stand there but Damon had control of the position. Davis throws and elbow that misses. Damon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Davis's guard. Nice move by Damon! Damon won't allow Davis to get back to his feet. Damon stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis gets the takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Damon is working to avoid the ground and pound but Davis connects with a decent elbow. Davis working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Damon is rocked! Davis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Damon to his feet. Oh Damon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Davis scores a takedown into full mount! Damon is looking to get to half guard. Davis working Damon over with strikes here. Damon really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
BOOM! Davis connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Damon tries to hold on but Davis pushes him away. Damon tries to get back to half guard but can't. Davis blocks Damon's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Damon bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Davis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Damon is controlling him. Damon seems to have got his legs back now. Damon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Damon feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Davis's calf. Davis throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Davis tries for a takedown but Damon circles away easily and Damon counters with a single leg into guard. Davis didn't expect that. Damon throws a big right hand that misses. Damon won't allow Davis to get back to his feet. Davis looking for a sweep. Not yet Davis, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davis controlling Damon's posture. Davis is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Davis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Damon prevents it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Damon manages to pull guard.
Davis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Davis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Damon is trying to keep Davis in close.
Davis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Damon, up you get! Davis shoots for a takedown but Damon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Davis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Damon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Davis's head. Davis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Damon, pushing him back against the cage. Damon wants a takedown but no success here.

Davis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Davis goes for a takedown attempt but Damon pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Davis misses with a few strikes there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Davis feints and as Damon raises his hands in defense, Davis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Davis scoring with punches to the head and body. Damon keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully. Davis wanted to stand there but Damon had control of the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sean Damon will probably get the nod. That's time! Damon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Damon misses with a takedown and Davis counters with a nice double leg into guard. Davis trying to control but Damon is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Damon is on top in guard.
Chris Davis has got the better of the ground game so far. Damon wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving. Davis looking for a sweep. Not yet Davis, not yet. Damon postures up in Davis's guard and throws a big left but Davis blocks it. Davis keeping moving, preventing Damon from controlling successfully. Davis wants to sweep but no luck. Damon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Davis trying to keep a closed guard but Damon is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davis is on top in guard.
Davis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Davis is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Damon working a defensive guard here.
Damon has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Davis doesn't defend quickly enough and Damon has managed to lock this one up! Can Davis escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Damon on a fantastic submission victory.
