And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, HOMIE Dee Clown!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dee Clown tries to clinch but Whittaker moves out of range.

Whittaker looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Dee Clown has momentary wrist control but Whittaker slips an elbow through the middle.
Whittaker controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Whittaker looking to pass the guard.
Whittaker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Whittaker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Whittaker works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Dee Clown keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dee Clown is trying to stand up here but Whittaker is controlling him well.
Whittaker working over Dee Clown with some ground and pound. Dee Clown looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Whittaker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dee Clown keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Whittaker content to control rather than advance.

Whittaker prevents Dee Clown from standing back up.
Whittaker tries to pass to full mount but Dee Clown defends it.
Whittaker seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Dee Clown is in trouble now - Whittaker has advanced to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poor strikes thrown by Whittaker there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Whittaker quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Whittaker but it's paid off an Dee Clown is forced to tap! Nice work by Whittaker.
