Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and vladimir putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliveira is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Andre Oliveira looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
putin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Oliveira sprawls well initially but putin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Oliveira looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
putin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
putin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oliveira sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

putin gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Oliveira regains guard.
putin stands and steps away. Oliveira gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

putin thows a huge punch but Oliveira dodges it nicely.
Oliveira is pressing down on putin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

putin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Oliveira is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of putin, into his guard.

Oliveira lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Oliveira won't allow putin to get back to his feet.
Oliveira is standing up over putin. putin looks to escape but Oliveira dives into side control.
Oliveira tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Oliveira has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
putin avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Oliveira.
Oliveira is looking to take a break and control but putin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Oliveira is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, putin has escaped the position, nice work there.

putin is pushing Oliveira's head away, looking to escape. Oliveira manages to hold on to the position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
putin has managed to clinch.
putin breaks from the clinch.
putin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
putin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Oliveira is trying to keep an underhook but putin manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Oliveira is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well putin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
