Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Couture.
Couture tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Green swivels and escapes.
Couture throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Green was covering up waiting for the punch and Couture finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Couture's guard.

Couture working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Green doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Green manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Couture had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Green is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Couture Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Green's back instead.

Green manages to reverse the position and now he's in Couture's guard. Nice work there by Green.
Couture is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Green drops back looking for a leg! Couture is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Couture manages to kick Green off! Green jumps back into Couture's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Couture throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Green's waist but Green gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Couture off to one side.

That was a close round but I would say that Randy Couture will probably get the nod.

Couture doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
