1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James The Executioner! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Russo throws a right hand that The Executioner ducks under and follows up with a left that The Executioner also avoids with ease. Russo misses with a wild combination.
The Executioner circles away from the clinch attempt.
Russo tries to bum rush The Executioner with a series of wild strikes but The Executioner uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The Executioner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than The Executioner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Executioner is in the full mount, landing strikes. Russo is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Russo is squirming around, avoiding The Executioner's attempts to control the action. The Executioner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The Executioner jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Russo manages to avoid the submission attempt. Russo is not content to let The Executioner control the position. The Executioner is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Russo looks calm but he's in trouble here. The Executioner gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Russo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! The Executioner lets go of the hold and Russo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
