Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muhammed Muhammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomi Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muhammed's entrance music is Smooth Criminal Saudi edition. A fine choice. Koski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dj Neon - In Hardtrance I Trust . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Muhammed Muhammed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomi Koski!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nice takedown defense from Koski. No joy for Muhammed on that attempt.
Koski needs to keep his hands up - Muhammed had a free shot at his head there.
Muhammed Muhammed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid body kick from Muhammed.
Muhammed throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Muhammed changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Koski tries to avoid it but Muhammed manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Koski to the ground. Koski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Muhammed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Muhammed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Koski.
Koski blocks the body kick.
Koski throws an overhand right that lands on Muhammed's shoulder, as Muhammed tries to avoid the shot.
Koski misses with a shot to the body

Muhammed looks to land a combination but Koski avoids it well.
Muhammed is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Muhammed uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Koski.
Koski misses with an uppercut. Muhammed saw that one coming.

Muhammed moves into the clinch.
Muhammed tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Muhammed lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Muhammed using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Koski has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Muhammed is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Koski can't fight it off and eventually Muhammed manages to take the fight to the floor. Koski looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Muhammed wants to control for a moment but Koski uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Koski is looking to advance position but Muhammed won't allow it.

Koski is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Muhammed is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Muhammed has escaped and now he's on top!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Muhammed is working hard here to advance position.
Muhammed throwing strikes but missing.
Muhammed throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koski wants to stand but Muhammed is controlling the position.
Muhammed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Koski works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Koski wants to sweep here but Muhammed controlling him for the moment.
Koski is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Koski lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Muhammed Muhammed has been cut.
Koski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Muhammed.
Koski missing with a left hand there. Muhammed was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Koski closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Koski crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Muhammed - the referee stops the clock and Koski gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Muhammed. Koski manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Koski throws a hook but Muhammed blocks it.
Koski doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Muhammed drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Koski is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Muhammed throwing strikes but Koski manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Koski is looking to take a break and control but Muhammed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Muhammed is looking to regain half guard here but Koski keeps moving and retains side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Muhammed manages to get back to half guard.
Koski seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Muhammed is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Koski perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Koski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Muhammed keeps working.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Koski works over Muhammed's head and body with a nice combination.
Muhammed looks to throw the jab but Koski is out of range.
Muhammed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Muhammed tries to close the distance and clinch up but Koski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A slapping body kick lands there for Muhammed.
Muhammed lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Muhammed lands a lovely overhand right.

Muhammed tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Koski smiles and moves away.

Muhammed shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Koski napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Koski regains half guard, as Muhammed was trying to land strikes.
Muhammed wants to lay and pray for a moment but Koski keeps working.

Muhammed prevents Koski from improving his position.

Muhammed takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Muhammed comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Muhammed throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Koski throws a hook but Muhammed blocks it.

and Koski counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Koski connects with a body shot.
Koski scores with a jab to the head.
Muhammed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Koski paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Koski misses with a straight left.
Muhammed blocks a jab.
Muhammed takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Muhammed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Koski pinned against the cage. Koski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tomi Koski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Muhammed is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tomi Koski seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Koski throws a looping overhand right but Muhammed ducks down to avoid it.

Muhammed lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Koski circles away quickly and effectively.

The fighters circle momentarily. Koski darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Koski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Muhammed manages to avoid it.
Muhammed looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

The fighters circling - Koski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Muhammed tries to pull guard but Koski holds him up against the cage and eventually Muhammed drops back down to his feet.

Koski wants to get back to striking at distance but Muhammed won't allow it.
Muhammed tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Koski smiles and moves away.

Koski is not content to let Muhammed control the position.
Muhammed is trying to ground and pound but Koski uses the momentary lack of control by Muhammed to regain half guard.
Koski regains full guard. Nicely done.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Muhammed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Koski pulls Muhammed in close to prevent any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tomi Koski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Koski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
