Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Efren Reyes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reyes's waist but Reyes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walker off to one side.

Reyes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Walker is trying to get back to full guard.
Walker is trying to stand back up but Reyes is controlling him
Reyes is looking to take a break and control but Walker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reyes prevents Walker from improving his position.

Reyes tries to pass to full mount but Walker defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reyes is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Walker has managed to free his arm - good work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Reyes stops Walker from getting back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Walker is stalling here. Reyes is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Walker seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Reyes has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walker wants to get back to his feet.
Reyes wants to control but Walker is keeping him busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Walker tries to escape but Reyes is in control.
Reyes is looking to take a break and control but Walker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Walker tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Reyes presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Efren Reyes will probably get the nod.
That's time! Walker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Walker shoots and misses

and Reyes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Walker's guard.
Reyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reyes trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Walker wants to stand but Reyes is controlling the position.
Reyes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reyes trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Reyes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Efren Reyes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Walker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Walker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Walker misses with a takedown

and Reyes counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Reyes controlling the action here.

Walker is looking to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reyes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walker keeps working.
Reyes controlling the action here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Efren Reyes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


A big right from Walker misses.
Walker works Reyes's body with a nice hook.

Walker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Walker not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Reyes regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Walker.
Walker working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Walker throws and elbow that misses. Reyes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walker's guard. Nice move by Reyes!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Walker wants to stand but Reyes is controlling the position.

Walker wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Reyes manages to pass to side control.
Walker wants to get back to full guard but Reyes has passed into side control.
Tom Walker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Reyes with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Walker wants to hold on but Reyes pushes him away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Walker has left one of his arms exposed and Reyes doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Walker screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
