Brother has chosen Slash & Myless Kennedy ~ Back From Cali as his entrance music. Gil Brother will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gil Brother! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brother slaps away a takedown attempt from Champshire, before circling back to the center of the mat. Brother fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Champshire sprawls well initially but Brother persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Brother decides to stand up. Champshire gets a takedown into half guard. Brother misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Brother wants to get back to full guard. Champshire trying to control the action but Brother is working from the bottom. Brother wants to get back to full guard but Champshire has mounted him! Brother can't escape the position.

Brother decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Champshire, up you get! Brother clinches. Champshire jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brother walks away with a smile on his face. Champshire gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Brother is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Champshire tries to clinch there but Brother circles away.

Gil Brother seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brother misses with a takedown attempt - Champshire sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Brother looks gassed! Champshire fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Champshire gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Brother counters into the clinch. Nicely done. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Champshire. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brother has picked Champshire up - he's going for a ride! Brother dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Champshire trying to hold on to Brother's head to control him but Brother postures up.
Champshire might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Brother tries to stand and escape but Champshire actually recovers to full guard. Brother wants to stand but Champshire has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Champshire is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Champshire throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Champshire is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Brother must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Brother wants to control from the top but Champshire keeps moving. Brother wants to get up but he can't break Champshire's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Champshire misses with a two punch combination.
Champshire closes the distance looking to clinch so Brother counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Brother wants to stand and escape but instead Champshire has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Champshire wants to stand but Brother is controlling his posture from full guard. Champshire throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brother feints and as Champshire raises his hands in defense, Brother changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Champshire pushes Brother against the cage but Brother circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Champshire tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Champshire fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brother avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Champshire. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brother fails with a takedown attempt. Champshire tries to clinch but Brother is having none of it. Champshire looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Champshire shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Brother counters with a takedown into side control. Brother is trying to ground and pound but Champshire uses the momentary lack of control by Brother to regain half guard.

Brother not landing any meaningful shots this time. Brother is working for a kimura but Champshire is defending it quite comfortably.
Champshire has hold of Brother's hands but Brother slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Brother is looking to control the position but Champshire frees his trapped leg and locks up an armbar from the bottom! It looks tight! Brother grimaces and holds on for a second but is forced to tap or have his arm broken! Slick Jiu Jitsu from Champshire there - Brother really paying for some sloppy defensive work!
