PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Spicolli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Scovronio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spicolli comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't No Rest for the Wicked. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spicolli tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Scovronio swivels and escapes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like Scovronio is going to stand back up.

Spicolli drops back, looking for a kneebar! Scovronio looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Scovronio looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Scovronio!
Spicolli is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Scovronio is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Spicolli is just riding it out for now. Scovronio eventually gives up the hold.

Well Scovronio has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
