Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lee Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raleigh Miller!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller has taken the fight to the clinch.
Miller landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Miller tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Miller obliges.

Miller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Miller tries to clinch but Marshall moves out of range.
Marshall tries for a takedown but Miller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marshall shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miller as he avoids it easily.
Marshall is breathing heavily.
Miller leaves Marshall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Miller tries to land a knee to the head but Marshall blocks with his arms.

Marshall decides to pull guard.
Miller wants to stand but Marshall has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Miller is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Marshall holds on and takes a little breather.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raleigh Miller dominated that round.

Marshall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Miller is trying to buck Marshall off.

Marshall decides to stand up, so the ref orders Miller to his feet.
Marshall swinging wilding here.
Miller wants to clinch up but Marshall keeps it at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Marshall dives in and grabs Miller's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes down on Marshall's head and hops out.

and Marshall counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Miller's guard now.

Marshall stands up from Miller's guard - Marshall perhaps looking for a knockout.
Marshall throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Miller's waist but Miller gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marshall off to one side.
Miller closes the distance but Marshall moves to the side

and Marshall counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Miller wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Marshall manages to pass to side control.

Miller is trying to stand.
Marshall is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Marshall prevents Miller from standing back up.

Marshall seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Marshall tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Miller counters with a good low kick that Marshall was not able to check.
Marshall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miller tries to avoid it but Marshall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miller to the ground. Miller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Miller darts in trying to clinch
and Marshall counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Miller is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Marshall is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miller sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Marshall tries to clinch up but Miller circles away and keeps his distance.

Miller drives through and clinches with Marshall against the cage.

Marshall blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Miller throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Marshall blocks it with crossed arms.

Miller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lee Marshall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Marshall misses with a body shot.
Marshall keeps the fight on the outside.
Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Raleigh Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Marshall throws a head kick that misses.

Marshall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Miller as he jumps to the side.

Miller closes the distance and clinches.
Marshall drops down looking for an ankle pick but Miller pulls his leg out and moves away.
Marshall closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miller circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Marshall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marshall swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller.
Miller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Marshall counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Miller's guard now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Miller is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Marshall dives into side control.

Marshall is working to tighten is grip on Miller's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Miller has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Marshall is really squeezing tight and eventually Miller passes out! Marshall breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
