Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Buehrles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Buehrles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimbo Slice! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slice is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Slice shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Buehrles napping and manages to drive through into side control! Slice remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Slice tries to move to mount but Buehrles blocks the move with his legs. Slice stands up. Slice misses with a two punch combination.
Jimbo Slice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slice fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Slice jabbing away but nothing is landing. Slice tries to clinch but Buehrles is having none of it. Buehrles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Slice shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Buehrles is breathing heavily. Slice throws a front kick that sends Buehrles stumbling back into the cage. Slice is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Slice swinging wilding here.
Slice shoots in but Buehrles avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mark Buehrles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimbo Slice. Slice rushes Buehrles and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Slice has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Buehrles avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A nice left hand lands by Slice.
Slice gets control of Buehrles's arms and successfully pulls guard. Slice will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Slice pulls Buehrles in close to prevent any damage. Slice is looking to stand up but Buehrles isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slice doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Buehrles preventing the sweep. Slice keeping moving, preventing Buehrles from controlling successfully. Slice keeping full guard, as Buehrles tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Slice throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Slice tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Slice looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Buehrles! Slice controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimbo Slice dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Slice shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Slice throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Buehrles's waist but Buehrles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slice off to one side. Slice moves in looking to clinch but Buehrles pushes him off. Mark Buehrles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Buehrles defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slice. Mark Buehrles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimbo Slice. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice takedown defense from Buehrles. No joy for Slice on that attempt. Buehrles looks to clinch and Slice counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Buehrles!
That's one minute gone in the round. Slice goes for an armbar but Buehrles turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Buehrles. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Slice keeping moving, preventing Buehrles from controlling successfully. Slice pulls Buehrles in close to prevent any damage. Slice looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Buehrles trying to control the position from guard on top but Slice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Slice wants to stand but Buehrles is controlling the position. Buehrles stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slice swivels though and keeps the full guard. Slice escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Buehrles gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slice wants to stand and escape but Buehrles is having none of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Slice shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buehrles but Buehrles pushes him off and we're back to square one. Buehrles delivers a nice body kick. Buehrles circles away from the clinch attempt.
Buehrles tries to clinch but Slice moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buehrles tries for a takedown but Slice sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Slice tries to clinch but Buehrles moves out of range. Slice gets a takedown into half guard. Slice stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimbo Slice showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Slice shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buehrles but Buehrles pushes him off and we're back to square one. Slice gets the takedown into side control. Slice tries to move to mount but Buehrles blocks the move with his legs. Buehrles is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slice stands up. Slice shoots in but no luck this time. Slice looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buehrles is fending him off so far but Slice persists. Nope, Buehrles circles away and we're back to standing. Mark Buehrles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimbo Slice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buehrles tries to clinch up. Buehrles tries to clinch but Slice moves out of range. Slice throws a body kick the misses and Buehrles counters with a shoot takedown. Slice fights it but they end up in guard. Slice wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Slice has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Buehrles can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Slice looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buehrles is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buehrles is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slice will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Slice is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Slice has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Buehrles off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buehrles avoids the body shot from Slice.
Buehrles moves in looking to clinch but Slice pushes him off. Slice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Slice shoots in and drives through. Buehrles sprawls well. Buehrles throws a lazy head kick and Slice counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimbo Slice comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Slice winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
