Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vincent Basciano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Amaral! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Basciano fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Basciano lands a left and a right that send Amaral crashing to the mat, dazed. Basciano thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Amaral is rocked!
It looks like Joey Amaral has been cut. Basciano fails with a takedown attempt. Amaral is still on wobbly legs! Can Basciano finish him? Amaral swats away the attempt to clinch by Basciano. Amaral shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Amaral seems to have recovered his senses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Amaral stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Amaral throws a series of punches but Basciano avoids them all with ease. Basciano swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Amaral counters with a left and a right that stings Basciano. Basciano fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Basciano. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amaral misses with a double jab
and Basciano counters with a left and a right... And another left! Amaral is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vincent Basciano!
