Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jemdet Nasr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Cadone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jemdet Nasr has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jemdet Nasr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Al Cadone!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cadone misses with a straight left.
Al Cadone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cadone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nasr.
Cadone scores with a nice strike.
Cadone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nasr.
Nasr on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A choreographed right hand from Cadone misses the target.
Nasr punishes Cadone's body with a nice straight punch.

and Nasr counters with a shoot takedown. Cadone fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nasr sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cadone's guard.

Nasr is working for a submission of some sort.
Nasr working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Cadone's thigh. Cadone counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Nasr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nasr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cadone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nasr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nasr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cadone trying to keep a closed guard but Nasr is proving a slippery customer.
Cadone lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nasr!

Cadone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nasr wants to hold on but Cadone pushes him away.

Nasr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cadone's guard.
Nasr is looking to advance position but Cadone has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Nasr gets back to half guard.

Nasr is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Cadone pulls his head out easily.

That's time! Nasr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Nasr moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Cadone has worked his arm free - good work by Cadone!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Nasr takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Nasr takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cadone takes a swing at Nasr's ribcage but misses.
Cadone cracks Nasr with a good jab.

Nasr takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Cadone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Nasr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cadone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cadone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nasr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cadone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nasr has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Cadone doesn't defend quickly enough and Nasr has managed to lock this one up! Can Cadone escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Nasr on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jemdet Nasr!
