Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kiko Kodrigu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kiko Kodrigu! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cameron Stevenson! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kodrigu shoots in for a takedown but Stevenson shows good takedown defense. Horrible takedown by Kodrigu or perhaps it was just good defense by Stevenson which made him look bad. Kodrigu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kodrigu lands a high kick!
It looks like Cameron Stevenson has been cut. Kodrigu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kodrigu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kodrigu throws a sloppy head kick and Stevenson moves out of range easily. Kodrigu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stevenson blocks a head kick by Kodrigu.
Kiko Kodrigu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevenson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Stevenson blocks a head kick by Kodrigu.
Kodrigu is breathing heavily. Kodrigu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stevenson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kodrigu somewhat. Kodrigu swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stevenson stopping the sweep attempt from Kodrigu. Stevenson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kodrigu throws a head kick but Stevenson moves out of range.
Stevenson closes the distance and clinches up with Kodrigu, looking for a takedown. Stevenson pushes Kodrigu against the cage but Kodrigu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A head kick misses from Kodrigu. No luck for Stevenson with that takedown attempt. Stevenson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kodrigu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stevenson. Stevenson wants to stand up but Kodrigu is controlling the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Kiko Kodrigu will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Cameron Stevenson's cut. That's time! Back to the action!

Stevenson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Stevenson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Stevenson is looking for a kimura but Kodrigu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stevenson to get the leverage. Kodrigu is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stevenson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kodrigu is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
