Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tod Eckels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danila Doroshenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danila Doroshenko!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eckels plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Danila Doroshenko has been cut.
Eckels is looking to clinch.

Doroshenko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Eckels napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Eckels looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Doroshenko is fending him off so far but Eckels persists. Nope, Doroshenko circles away and we're back to standing.
Eckels takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Doroshenko lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Doroshenko.
Eckels throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Doroshenko throws the kick towards the body but Eckels avoids it.
Doroshenko looks to land a combination. Eckels sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Eckels dives in and grabs Doroshenko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Doroshenko pushes down on Eckels's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tod Eckels. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Doroshenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Eckels swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Eckels has his foot on Doroshenko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Doroshenko works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Tod Eckels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Eckels clinches but Doroshenko breaks the clinch
and Doroshenko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Doroshenko closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doroshenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eckels has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doroshenko has managed to get both his arms back between Eckels's legs - danger averted.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Eckels had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Doroshenko is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Eckels Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Doroshenko's back instead.
