Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lee Dixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tom Foolery! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foolery moves into the clinch successfully.
Dixon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Foolery pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dixon shoots in for a double leg but Foolery sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Foolery works the jab nicely. Foolery stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Dixon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Foolery lands a jab to the head.
Dixon shoots in and drives through. Foolery sprawls well. Foolery takes the fight into the clinch. Foolery breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Foolery lands a nice looking body kick. Dixon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Foolery closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Foolery escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Foolery moves into the clinch. Foolery breaks the clinch.
Foolery tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Dixon is rocked! Dixon closes the distance and clinches up with Foolery, looking for a takedown. Dixon pushes Foolery against the cage but Foolery circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Oh Dixon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dixon is breathing heavily. Foolery cracks Dixon on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Dixon falls backwards against the cage. Foolery follows up with more strikes that drop Dixon to his knees. Foolery keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Dixon! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Foolery!
