Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colin Sylvia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nightmare Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kane wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sylvia pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kane misses with a body kick.
Sylvia shoots in looking for a takedown. Kane tries to sprawl out of it but Sylvia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kane throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kane throws a wild body kick that Sylvia sees coming a mile off.
Kane tries to keep at a distance but Sylvia has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sylvia jumps guard.

Kane must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sylvia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kane's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sylvia decides to stand back up. Sylvia steps back and let's Kane get back to his feet.

Sylvia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Kane is looking to break free of the clinch but Sylvia has double underhooks.
Sylvia escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sylvia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kane throws a head kick but Sylvia moves out of range.
Kane misses with a kick to the body.
Sylvia thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kane if he has to take too many more of those.

and Sylvia counters by clinching up.
Sylvia is trying to trip Kane. He has hold of a leg but Kane is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sylvia persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Sylvia decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kane, up you get!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kane.
Kane throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Sylvia counters with a shoot takedown. Kane fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kane wants to stand up but Sylvia is controlling him.

Sylvia decides to stand back up.
A head kick misses from Kane.
Sylvia misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sylvia gets the takedown into side control.
Sylvia prevents Kane from escaping the position.
Sylvia decides to take the fight back to the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kane throws a lazy head kick
and Sylvia counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kane!
Kane wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Colin Sylvia dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kane.
Sylvia closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sylvia tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Kane is looking to stand up but Sylvia isn't so interested in that idea.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kane tries to keep at a distance but Sylvia has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kane wants to get back to striking at distance but Sylvia won't allow it.
Sylvia breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sylvia darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sylvia rushes Kane and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kane is trying to break free.
Sylvia manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kane with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Sylvia controls Kane momentarily but Kane frees himself.
Kane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sylvia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kane throws a push kick but Sylvia slaps the foot to one side.
Kane looks for the body kick but Sylvia saw that one coming.
Sylvia moves into range and clinches up with Kane.
Sylvia gets through Kane's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Sylvia thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kane dodges the ground and pound from Sylvia.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kane takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Kane is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sylvia asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Sylvia could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sylvia stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nightmare Kane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sylvia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kane's waist but Kane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sylvia off to one side.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kane - that will leave a mark!
Sylvia avoids the head kick by Kane.
Kane tries to land a front kick but Sylvia steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sylvia feints and as Kane raises his hands in defense, Sylvia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kane is wriggling around but Sylvia manages to pass to half guard.
Sylvia is looking to take a break and control but Kane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sylvia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sylvia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kane is just riding it out for now. Sylvia eventually gives up the hold.

Sylvia frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kane is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Kane is trying to stand but he's just given Sylvia his back.
Kane wants to get back to his feet.
Sylvia is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Sylvia is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kane can do to turn this around?

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kane is trying to get back to his feet but Sylvia has full control of the position and if anything, Kane has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Colin Sylvia overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well Sylvia has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
