Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jett Jaggers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaggers has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaggers closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kane did well to prevent Jaggers getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jaggers is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kane is not content to let Jaggers control the position.
Jaggers wants to pass to mount but Kane is defending the position.
Jaggers is working for a submission of some sort.
Jaggers is breathing heavily.
Kane wants to get back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kane throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jaggers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kane swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jaggers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kane paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jaggers throws a right hand that Kane ducks under and follows up with a left that Kane also avoids with ease.
Kane misses with an uppercut. Jaggers saw that one coming.
Kane takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jaggers lands a two punch combo.
Kane tries for a takedown but Jaggers circles away easily
and Jaggers counters with a one-two to the body.
Jett Jaggers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Kane.

Kane throws a series of punches but Jaggers moves out of range.
Kane tries to bum rush Jaggers with a series of wild strikes but Jaggers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kane scores with a one two! Jaggers had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Kane ducks right into an uppercut from Jaggers.
Jaggers pushes Kane up against the cage in a clinch.
Kane wants to get back to striking at distance but Jaggers won't allow it.
Kane gets underhooks to prevent Jaggers's takedown attempt.
Kane can't break the clinch.
Jaggers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kane throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jaggers was covering up waiting for the punch and Kane finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kane must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kane is pressed up against the cage. Jaggers has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kane down to the mat. Kane avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jaggers takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Kane is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Jaggers avoids the body shot from Kane.
Kane throws a right and a left that Jaggers avoids nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kane can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kane goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Kane is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jaggers's half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jaggers turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Kane gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kane tries to reverse the position but Jaggers maintains control.
Jaggers wants to finish this one by submission but Kane is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jaggers.

Jaggers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kane is looking to escape.

Kane tries to hold on but Jaggers postures up.
Kane tries to reverse the position but Jaggers maintains control.
Jaggers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Jaggers has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
