Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Vega! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Santos! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vega shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Santos's guard. Vega avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Santos keeping moving, preventing Vega from controlling successfully. Vega postures up in Santos's guard and throws a big left but Santos blocks it. Santos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Vega seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Santos looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Vega knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Santos on the ground. Santos trying to keep a closed guard but Vega is proving a slippery customer.
Vega really is a fat lump.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos is looking for a triangle but Vega pushes his legs off easily.
Vega tries to free his leg and advance position but Santos is retaining full guard. Santos has a closed guard, preventing Vega from standing up. Santos trying to keep a closed guard but Vega is proving a slippery customer.
Vega has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Vega has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Santos is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Santos keeping full guard, as Vega tries to pass.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Vega swings for the body but Santos moves out of range.
Vega forces Santos back against the cage and clinches. A body shot lands from Santos.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Santos keeps control of Vega as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Santos is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jake Santos. Santos misses with a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vega on the side of the head. Vega is breathing heavily. Vega misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Vega on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Santos punishes Vega's body with a nice straight punch. Vega is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Good leg kick by Santos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Santos and Vega goes tumbling to the canvas! Santos follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard. Santos trying to control the pace. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Santos thows a huge punch but Vega dodges it nicely.
Santos throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos not landing any meaningful shots this time. Santos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vega keeps working. Still in half guard, Santos seems content to control. Vega wants to get back to full guard. Santos is trying to control. Vega wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A jab-cross combination lands for Santos and sends Vega crashing to the mat! Santos follows him down to the mat - Vega regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Vega is rocked!
It looks like Antonio Vega has been cut. Santos passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Vega! Santos lands a heavy elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Santos dominated that round. The cut man is working on Antonio Vega's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Santos connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Vega to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Santos!
