Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ferreira is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rodriguez wants to get back to his feet but Ferreira passes into half guard.
Rodriguez pushes Ferreira off and gets back to his feet.
Rodriguez looks for a takedown but Ferreira sprawls well.
Rodriguez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rodriguez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ferreira uses from the top position.
Ferreira passes Rodriguez's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Ferreira is looking to take a break and control but Rodriguez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ferreira wants to control from the top but Rodriguez keeps moving.

Rodriguez is staying active underneath Ferreira, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ferreira seems to be looking for submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodriguez is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Ferreira is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rodriguez throws a shot to the body.
Rodriguez instigates a clinch.
Ferreira tries to pull guard but Rodriguez holds him up against the cage and eventually Ferreira drops back down to his feet.
Rodriguez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ferreira smiles and moves away.
Ferreira misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ferreira pushes Rodriguez up against the cage in a clinch.
Ferreira tries for a takedown but Rodriguez manages to get underhooks.
Rodriguez breaks the clinch.
Ferreira tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ferreira throws a chopping leg kick but Rodriguez manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rodriguez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rodriguez throws a one two combo.
Rodriguez clinches up with Ferreira and pushes him back against the cage.

Rodriguez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rodriguez has managed to clinch.
Rodriguez manages to break the clinch.
Rodriguez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Rodriguez scores with a jab.
Ferreira is rocked!
Rodriguez scores with a body shot.
Rodriguez throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Ferreira colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Rodriguez as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Ferreira is left battered and dazed whilst Rodriguez and his camp cheer!
