Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Will Baker!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brown stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Both fighters circling a little - Baker finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brown scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Baker.
Baker scores with a head kick.
Baker with a lazy takedown attempt
and Brown counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baker won't be happy with that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brown has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Baker shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Baker tries to bum rush Brown with a series of wild strikes but Brown uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Brown looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Brown is breathing heavily.
Some wild striking there from Brown.
Baker gets caught flat footed, as Brown shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Baker wants to get back to his feet but Brown is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Baker trying to keep a closed guard but Brown is proving a slippery customer.
Brown is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Brown wants to stand but Baker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Baker has his hands on Brown's head, controlling the position.
Baker wants to stand and escape but Brown is having none of it.
Brown might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Baker pushes Brown up against the cage in a clinch.
Brown takes a knee right on the jaw!
Baker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mike Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Baker.

Baker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brown stuffs the takedown attempt from Baker. Baker gets slowly back to his feet.
Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baker wants to get back to his feet.
Baker is staying active underneath Brown, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Brown gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Brown shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brown showed some decent athleticism there.

Brown working over Baker with some ground and pound. Baker looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Brown uses his free foot to push down on Baker's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Baker.

Baker tries to get back to half guard but can't.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Baker is in a horrible position here. Brown smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brown pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Brown scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Brown has hold of Baker's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Baker seems comfortable defending it but Brown has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Baker is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Baker is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Brown couldn't care less - he's delighted!
