Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between TAKA Michinoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ghenki Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michinoku's entrance music is Yamato Suite Pt. 4. A fine choice. Ghenki Sudo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, TAKA Michinoku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ghenki Sudo! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michinoku throws a good cross that connects.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Michinoku!
Sudo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Michinoku lands a with a good body shot. Michinoku misses with a looping left. Sudo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sudo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Michinoku manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Sudo drops back looking for a leg! Michinoku is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Michinoku manages to kick Sudo off! Sudo jumps back into Michinoku's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sudo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Sudo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Michinoku swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sudo drops back looking for a leg! Michinoku is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Michinoku manages to kick Sudo off! Sudo jumps back into Michinoku's guard. Sudo wants to pass the guard but Michinoku is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Michinoku is trying to control the position but Sudo postures up. Sudo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Michinoku connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Michinoku lands a nice looking body shot.
TAKA Michinoku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Left hook, right uppercut from Michinoku.
It looks like Ghenki Sudo has been cut. TAKA Michinoku is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Michinoku just misses with a punch to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michinoku scores with a hook to the body. Sudo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Sudo walks into a stiff left hand from Michinoku. Sudo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Michinoku misses with a looping left. Michinoku gets caught flat footed, as Sudo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Sudo advances position into side control! Sudo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Michinoku on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Michinoku tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michinoku tries to bench press Sudo off him but Sudo keeps the position. You can see the frustration on Michinoku's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sudo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sudo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Michinoku knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sudo looks gassed! Sudo advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that TAKA Michinoku will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ghenki Sudo's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sudo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Michinoku throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sudo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ghenki Sudo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sudo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Michinoku looks to land a right hand but Sudo moved out of range. Michinoku punishes Sudo's body with a nice straight punch. Sudo shoots for a takedown but Michinoku saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sudo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Michinoku swivels and escapes. TAKA Michinoku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ghenki Sudo.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Sudo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sudo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sudo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? That's three minutes gone in the round. Michinoku is adopting a defensive guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Sudo forces his way into half guard. Michinoku is looking for a sweep. Sudo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Michinoku knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sudo on the ground. Sudo is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Michinoku has managed to free his arm - good work. Sudo wants to pass the guard but Michinoku is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sudo is looking for a kimura but Michinoku is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sudo to get the leverage. Michinoku is looking to control Sudo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Michinoku avoid being mounted? Sudo works his way into full mount! Sudo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Michinoku is on top in guard.

Sudo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Michinoku.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Michinoku looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Michinoku rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sudo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Michinoku looks to score with a jab to the body but Sudo is just out of range. TAKA Michinoku is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Michinoku throws a body kick that misses. Sudo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. TAKA Michinoku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ghenki Sudo. Nice takedown defense from Michinoku. No joy for Sudo on that attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Michinoku misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sudo slips under a jab. Donk. Michinoku catches Sudo right on the button with a cross. Michinoku cracks Sudo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Michinoku throws the left hand but Sudo avoids the punch easily. Ghenki Sudo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sudo gets the takedown into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! TAKA Michinoku showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Michinoku, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
