Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ashikan Judan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sena Kobayakawa! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Kobayakawa catches Judan right on the button with a cross. Sena Kobayakawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Judan blocks a jab. Kobayakawa throws the left hand but Judan avoids the punch easily. Judan slips under a jab from Kobayakawa. Kobayakawa throws an overhand right that lands on Judan's shoulder, as Judan tries to avoid the shot. Kobayakawa slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Kobayakawa misses the jab. Judan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kobayakawa's guard. Judan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Judan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kobayakawa dives on top into guard. Kobayakawa trying to stand up but can't free himself from Judan's guard. Kobayakawa wants to control from the top but Judan keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Judan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Judan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kobayakawa is looking to get to half guard. Judan is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Judan!
