Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Noth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Cavalera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cavalera comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Filha da Puta - Claustrofobia kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Cavalera! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cavalera moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Chris Noth has been cut. Noth changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cavalera looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Noth is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cavalera knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Noth wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cavalera, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cavalera prevents Noth from improving position. Noth tries for a kimura but Cavalera is defending well. Noth tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. You can see the frustration on Cavalera's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cavalera is looking to reverse the position. Noth looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Noth is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cavalera has escaped the position, nice work there. Noth is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cavalera knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Noth tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Noth has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Noth tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Noth swings around for an armbar but Cavalera sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Noth's guard. Cavalera pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Noth is keeping the position for now. Cavalera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Noth has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cavalera has managed to get both his arms back between Noth's legs - danger averted. Noth has his foot on Cavalera's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cavalera works his way back into a safe position though.

Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cavalera is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cavalera is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Noth.
