Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Leasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonny Leasher! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leasher looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Leasher is looking for a sweep. Leasher manages to get back to half guard. Leasher is pressing down on Murphy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Murphy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leasher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Murphy has managed to get both his arms back between Leasher's legs - danger averted. Leasher throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Leasher is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Murphy is aware though and is defending well. Murphy with a flurry of punches that miss. Murphy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Leasher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Murphy is one step ahead there. Leasher keeping full guard, as Murphy tries to pass. Murphy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leasher on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Leasher is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Murphy is aware though and is defending well. Murphy wants to control from the top but Leasher keeps moving. Murphy wants to stand but Leasher has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Murphy is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Leasher keeping moving, preventing Murphy from controlling successfully. Murphy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Leasher is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murphy stopping the sweep attempt from Leasher. Leasher manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Murphy wants to control but Leasher is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leasher tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Murphy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Leasher working for a guillotine from mount but Murphy is in no mood to give up. Leasher goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Murphy turns into him and now he's in Leasher's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Murphy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Murphy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leasher swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Leasher looking for a guillotine here but Murphy defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonny Leasher dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Murphy throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Murphy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leasher circles away quickly and effectively. Murphy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Leasher gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leasher gets control of Murphy's arms and successfully pulls guard. Leasher will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Leasher is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Murphy rolls with it to try and escape but Leasher cranks on the arm and Murphy is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jonny Leasher!
