PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeo Manabu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jun Nun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manabu comes to the cage accompanied by Heavy Metal is my Way by Metalucifer. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeo Manabu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jun Nun!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nun looks for a takedown but Manabu sprawls well.
Manabu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Manabu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nun to the mat! Nun manages to get full guard.
Manabu tries to free his leg and advance position but Nun is retaining full guard.
Nun should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Manabu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Manabu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Nun throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Manabu is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Nun is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Nun has escaped and now he's on top!

Nun content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Manabu has locked up a guillotine! Manabu's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Nun is holding on here and Manabu must be using up a lot of energy. Nun has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Manabu gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
