Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Perlen Panserbane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Flavio Stamb! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Panserbane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Stamb is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Panserbane. Stamb misses with a jab, cross combination.
Panserbane scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Panserbane working the ground and pound but Stamb is defending the strikes. Stamb is looking to regain half guard here but Panserbane keeps moving and retains side control. Stamb really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Panserbane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Panserbane lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stamb down.
Panserbane trying to control the action but Stamb is working from the bottom. Panserbane is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stamb knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Stamb is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Panserbane has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Stamb! Stamb really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Panserbane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Panserbane tries to control but Stamb wriggling away. Panserbane looking to isolate an arm here. Stamb doesn't see it coming and as Panserbane extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Panserbane!
