Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Lacey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Duncan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Lacey! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duncan throws a nice head kick!
Lacey fails with the takedown. Jim Lacey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lacey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lacey has a takedown stuffed. Kyle Duncan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Lacey. Lacey shoots in for a double leg but Duncan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lacey looks for a takedown but Duncan sprawls well. Lacey shoots in for a takedown but Duncan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Lacey fails to land the takedown. Duncan clinches up with Lacey and pushes him back against the cage. Duncan has picked Lacey up - he's going for a ride! Duncan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Lacey actively working from the bottom here. Lacey looks gassed! Duncan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Duncan drops an elbow to the side of Lacey's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duncan wants to control but Lacey is keeping him busy. Lacey actively working from the bottom here. Duncan is looking to take a break and control but Lacey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Duncan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lacey knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Duncan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lacey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lacey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Duncan tries to avoid it but Lacey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Duncan to the ground. Duncan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Duncan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lacey! Duncan putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Lacey gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duncan is nestled in close to Lacey, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Duncan is looking for a kimura but Lacey is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Duncan to get the leverage. Duncan wants to control but Lacey is keeping him busy. Lacey looking for submissions off his back. Duncan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Duncan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Duncan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lacey with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Lacey is looking for a sweep. Duncan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lacey looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Duncan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duncan trying to control but Lacey is having none of it. Lacey is looking to improve his position but Duncan isn't that keen on the idea. Duncan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lacey is looking to escape. Lacey keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Duncan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lacey's face.
Lacey sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Lacey looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lacey is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Duncan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Duncan's back! Duncan tries to roll but Lacey sticks to his back.
Lacey is cranking Duncan's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Duncan! He's tightened the choke and Duncan is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jim Lacey!
