0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Job Thunder! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newton misses with a series of wild punches.

Newton drives through and clinches with Thunder against the cage.
Thunder manages to break the clinch.
Newton clinches up against the cage. Thunder tries for a takedown but Newton manages to get underhooks.
Thunder keeps control of Newton as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Newton wants to break free but Thunder has control.
Thunder wants a takedown.
Newton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Thunder avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Thunder tightens his grip and picks Newton up, before dumping him to the ground. Newton manages to land in guard. Thunder cracks Newton with a solid left hand. Newton wants to stand up but Thunder is controlling him. Thunder wants to control from the top but Newton keeps moving. Thunder might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Newton kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Newton wants to clinch up but Thunder keeps it at a distance. Thunder takes the fight into the clinch. Thunder lands a body punch. Newton tries to break the clinch but Thunder is controlling the position. Thunder drags the fight down to the ground.
Thunder is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Newton has his hands clasped together but Thunder extends an breaks Newton's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Thunder.
