The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thriller shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hurja as he avoids it easily.
Hurja stuffs the takedown attempt from Thriller. Thriller gets slowly back to his feet.
Hurja swats away the attempt to clinch by Thriller.
Thriller fails in his attempt to clinch.
Thriller closes the distance and clinches up with Hurja, looking for a takedown. Thriller pushes Hurja against the cage but Hurja circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Thriller. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thriller throws a body punch but Hurja moves out of range.
Thriller fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thriller.
Thriller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hurja's waist but Hurja gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thriller off to one side.
Hurja closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hurja lands in his opponent's guard.
Thriller wants to stand and escape but Hurja is having none of it.
Thriller is breathing heavily.
Hurja won't allow Thriller to sweep him here.
Hurja passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Hurja stands up and beckons Thriller to his feet.
Hurja fails to land the takedown.

Thriller moves in looking to clinch but Hurja pushes him off.
Thriller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hurja!
Hurja keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Hurja makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hurja.

Hurja kicks Thriller off and gets to his feet.
Thriller with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hurja counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thriller won't be happy with that.
Thriller tries to buck Hurja off but Hurja is having none of it.
Thriller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hurja on the ground.
Hurja decides to stand up, so the ref orders Thriller to his feet.
Hurja takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hurja walks forward, straight into a front kick from Thriller.
Thriller moves into the clinch successfully.
Thriller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thriller misses with a takedown
and Hurja counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Thriller!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thriller really wants to buck Hurja off and get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hurja with a couple of short strikes.
Thriller is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Hurja locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Thriller is forced to tap!
