Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammad Lowal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micky McFinnigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lowal's entrance music is KING KING KING. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mohammad Lowal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micky McFinnigan! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lowal tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McFinnigan was well out of range. Poor timing from Lowal. McFinnigan swings for the body but Lowal moves out of range.
McFinnigan with a nice cross. McFinnigan misses with an uppercut. Lowal misses with an uppercut. McFinnigan misses with an uppercut. Lowal showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McFinnigan.
McFinnigan throws a looping overhand right but Lowal ducks down to avoid it. McFinnigan misses with a double jab.
Lowal staying out of range there. McFinnigan ducks under a wild hook from Lowal.
That's one minute gone in the round. McFinnigan misses with a wild combination.
Lowal throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lowal moves out of range as McFinnigan strikes. A jab from McFinnigan does it's job there. McFinnigan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lowal. A slow jab from McFinnigan misses its intended target. McFinnigan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. McFinnigan misses with a hook. Lowal ducked under it nicely. McFinnigan throws a sloppy body shot
and Lowal counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Lowal misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McFinnigan working hard to break the clinch. McFinnigan is trying to force a seperation but Lowal has the dominant position. Lowal tries to land knees in the clinch but McFinnigan avoids the damage to the body. Lowal misses with a body punch.
Lowal softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Lowal is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McFinnigan is defending well for now. Lowal keeps control of McFinnigan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. McFinnigan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lowal looking for a takedown. Lowal can't find room to land a body shot as McFinnigan controls the action.
McFinnigan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lowal pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Lowal tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. McFinnigan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lowal misses with a hook to the ribs.
Lowal goes for a takedown attempt but McFinnigan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McFinnigan swinging wilding here.
Lowal waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract McFinnigan. Lowal scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Lowal takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Micky McFinnigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lowal misses with a looping right. McFinnigan misses with an uppercut. McFinnigan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lowal on the side of the head. McFinnigan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lowal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Micky McFinnigan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Lowal counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Lowal drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. McFinnigan pushes Lowal away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lowal gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Lowal wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McFinnigan, who protects the arm well. What's McFinnigan going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McFinnigan is not content to let Lowal control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lowal staying calm. McFinnigan prevents Lowal from moving into mount. Lowal wants to control but McFinnigan is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. McFinnigan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Good work by McFinnigan as he checks the leg kick. McFinnigan cracks a nice hook into Lowal's ribs. Lowal slips a jab from McFinnigan. McFinnigan misses with a two punch combination.

and McFinnigan counters with a crisp one two that drops Lowal! McFinnigan thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lowal to his feet! Lowal is in big trouble!
Lowal is rocked! McFinnigan misses with a hook. Oh Lowal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crack! McFinnigan connects with the perfect overhand right and Lowal falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for McFinnigan!
