Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lyoto Andres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dude Dudenstein! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dudenstein looks to land a combination but Andres avoids it well. Andres slips a jab and a cross from Dudenstein.
Dude Dudenstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Andres.
Andres shoots in and bounces Dudenstein off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Andres has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Andres wants to control from the top but Dudenstein keeps moving. Andres stands up over Dudenstein, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Andres stands up from Dudenstein's guard - Andres perhaps looking for a knockout. Andres throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dudenstein was covering up waiting for the punch and Andres finishes the takedown easily into guard. Dudenstein looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Dudenstein wants to stand but Andres is controlling the position. Andres passes into half guard. Andres throwing shots but Dudenstein is blocking nicely. Dudenstein looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Andres winds up and cracks Dudenstein with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Andres prevents Dudenstein from standing back up.
Andres is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dudenstein sees it coming and defends easily. Dudenstein is trying to stand back up but Andres is controlling him
Andres working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Andres lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dudenstein tries to kick Andres off but Andres keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andres looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dudenstein with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Dudenstein is trying to stand back up but Andres is controlling him
Dudenstein is staying active underneath Andres, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Andres thows a huge punch but Dudenstein dodges it nicely.
Dudenstein tries to kick Andres off but Andres keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Andres trying to pass the guard but Dudenstein defending well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Andres has closed the distance and engaged Dudenstein in a clinch.

Andres throws a push kick but Dudenstein slaps the foot to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Andres drives through and clinches with Dudenstein against the cage.
Andres keeps control of Dudenstein as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dudenstein is trying to break free. Dudenstein pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Andres closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Andres lands in his opponent's guard. Dudenstein scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Andres tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dudenstein looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Andres shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Andres showed some decent athleticism there. Dudenstein tries to get to full guard but Andres has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lyoto Andres dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Andres circles away from the clinch attempt and Andres counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dudenstein! Dudenstein is in all sorts of trouble here.

Dudenstein is in a horrible position here. Andres smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Dudenstein is bucking up trying to escape but Andres cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Andres looking to finish Dudenstein with some ground and pound. This is bad for Dudenstein!
That's one minute gone in the round. Andres landing strikes from the mount and Dudenstein is in trouble! Andres postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dudenstein looks a forlorn figure.

Andres blocks Dudenstein's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Dudenstein is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Andres working Dudenstein over with strikes here. Andres takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Andres with shots to the head and body - Dudenstein looks very uncomfortable down there. Andres trying to control but he's not successful this time. A nice elbow there by Andres. Dudenstein wants to try and get back to his feet. Andres lands a big shot there that rocks Dudenstein but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
