Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Amaral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Baby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Amaral! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Baby! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baby misses with a kick to the body.
Amaral swinging wilding here.
Baby looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Amaral is fending him off so far but Baby persists. Nope, Amaral circles away and we're back to standing. Baby tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Amaral paws at him with a jab and circles away. Baby fails in his attempt to clinch. Amaral really is a fat lump. Amaral fails to land the takedown. Baby is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Baby is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Joe Amaral has been cut. Amaral throws a series of punches but Baby avoids them all with ease. Baby looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Baby shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Amaral but Amaral pushes him off and we're back to square one. Baby steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Amaral. Amaral will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Amaral leaves Baby with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Baby throws a sloppy head kick and Amaral moves out of range easily. Baby looks gassed!

and Baby counters with a big head kick but Amaral shrugs it off. Amaral throws a nice looking combination but Baby bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Amaral is looking to clinch but Baby is avoiding it.
Baby cracks Amaral with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Baby is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Baby swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Baby tries to clinch but Amaral moves out of range. Amaral tries to keep at a distance but Baby has taken the fight into the clinch. Amaral has Baby pressed against the cage, preventing Baby from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Amaral is working Baby over against the cage. Amaral lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Amaral changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Baby fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Baby counters with a takedown into side control. Baby creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baby is looking to take a break and control but Amaral is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Baby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Amaral. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Baby is working Amaral over with some ground and pound from side control. Baby drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Baby wants to stand but Amaral has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Amaral pushes Baby off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Amaral misses with the combination.

Baby throws a right hand that Amaral ducks under and follows up with a left that Amaral also avoids with ease. Amaral keeps the fight on the outside. Some wild striking there from Amaral.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Amaral connects with a nice short shot to Baby's temple. Amaral working the head and body with strikes. Amaral takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baby can do anything to dispel that myth. Baby trying to get back to full guard but Amaral takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Amaral landing strikes, looking to finish! Amaral won't let Baby get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Amaral cracks Baby with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
