Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robushka Sotchik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sotchik comes to the cage accompanied by I'm a Barbie Girl - AQUA. Robushka Sotchik has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robushka Sotchik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Silva!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sotchik is looking to clinch.
Sotchik avoids the head kick by Silva.
Sotchik will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sotchik on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Silva. Silva obviously looking to wear him down.
Sotchik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva tries to stand but Sotchik is controlling his head.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Sotchik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sotchik throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Sotchik has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.

Sotchik is staying active underneath Silva, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Sotchik is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sotchik kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silva is looking to advance position but Sotchik won't allow it.

That's time! Sotchik's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sotchik looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva.

Sotchik has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sotchik has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Sotchik's legs - danger averted.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
